Current research interests include the transcriptional profiling of stem cells in response to hypoxia, genetic modification of genes encoding cardioprotective proteins and cardiac tissue engineering. Future research includes the investigation of gene expression and proteomics profiling of signaling molecules involve in lineage-differentiation of stem cells.

Dr. Amber has completed her Ph.D from National Center for Proteomics, University of Karachi. The goal of her research is to develop better understanding between proteomics and genomics, focusing drug induced alterations and identification of therapeutic targets in liver cancer.
